The Merlot is a red grape variety. In its native country France it is one of the three most cultivated vines.
The internationally well-known red grape variety is not often cultivated in Germany. It is very frost-sensitive and therefore requires very warm locations.
Merlot needs high quality locations. The berries have very thin skin and ripen late. Their colour is a dark blue whilst the colour of the pulp is lighter.
The taste of Fuchs Merlot is very smooth and pleasant. The wine is an universal companion for many kinds of food.
